Kerala Beverages’ virtual queue app may launch soon. According to the report Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC) has almost completed the security testing and is waiting for approval.

The purpose of the app is to reduce the crowd at liquor shops. Through Kerala BEVCO Online App tipplers can book an e-token to purchase liquor from the prescribed outlet or bars. Consumers can purchase the liquor from the preferred outlet at the time slot provided by the app.

Updated: 28th May 2020: Finally, the App has launched. The App name is BevQ.

Certain online media claimed that the app has been named BevQ, but according to the official they haven’t given any such name yet. So I suggest you wait for official confirmation from the government. Once the app is ready to use authority will give the news regarding this.

As I mentioned above some news portals reported that the app is titled as ‘Bev Q’. Officially the government of Kerala hasn’t announced the launch date and name. Once the state government gives its approval we will be updating here.

The Kerala government introduced this app to reduce crowding at liquor shops and to maintain physical distancing. Tokens are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Depending on the e-token number customers are given a specific time for purchasing alcohol and will get a position in the physical queue.

The Kerala Beverages App contains details of liquor outlets, bars, beer & wine parlour. Beverages authorities informed that Liquor sale in the state will resume as soon as the app is approved.

The virtual queue system app is developed by Kochi-based developing company, ‘Faircode Technologies. Through online booking, you can reserve e-tokens, but payments should be made at the corresponding outlets. Only parcel services will be allowed from bars, and beer and wine parlours.

According to Google Trends; There was a spike in Search for the Keyword ‘BevQ’ from May 20, 10:30 AM onward. The Peak popularity for the term was on the same day 6:30 PM.
